A UI/UX Checklist for Small Business Websites

Published Updated •By MokshiTech•UI/UX, Web Design

Review business information, readable mobile layouts, navigation and enquiry steps to make your website easier for customers to understand and use.

Use this checklist to review what customers can understand and do on your website. Start with a real task, such as finding your address or asking about a service, rather than judging the page only by its colours.

Explain the business clearly

  • State the service or product in the opening section.
  • Show accurate business contact and location details.
  • Link to real project examples where they help explain the work.

Check reading and navigation on a phone

  • Read the page without needing to zoom into small text.
  • Open and close the navigation using the intended controls.
  • Check that headings describe each section and links explain their destination.
  • Make sure important buttons remain usable when text wraps.

Follow the enquiry steps

Choose a service and try to find its contact action. Review the information the form requests, its visible labels and its feedback. Agree a safe delivery test with the business before sending test messages to a live inbox.

Make feedback useful

Instead of saying a page feels confusing, identify the task, the exact screen and what you expected to happen. That helps a designer prioritise a concrete improvement.

Discuss how this applies to your business.

Share your current website or the product you want to build. We can review the requirements and explain a suitable next step.
